I am interested in capturing transience in my photography. Physical objects can seem to fade from our view by becoming lighter and lighter, heading toward pure whiteness, a blank slate. By using a gossamer interpretation of these small objects, they assume a ghostlike quality and begin to inhabit the fleeting space between here and not here. White Album is a collection of transient entities on their way out. This series is presented as 8x8" pigment prints on cotton rag paper. |
